Pixels and Words

My internet connection is being a massive pain at the moment. Actually it might be my computer, I haven’t worked it out yet. Anyway. I can’t really update much at the moment ‘cos I only get about ten minutes online before the connection dies and the computer crashes so hard that it needs to be turned off at the wall.

…bah.

Internet trouble = no daily updatin’. That’s alright though, I think daily updates might be a bit too hopeful considering my audience is precisely zero right now.

This’ll be the first actual strip, then. Fingers crossed that it actually works.

With a bit of luck, this is working and you’ll see this post with a ‘coming soon’ picture above it. If not, I’ll be sitting here quietly raging at the computer for a few hours while I figure out what’s up.

So, hi. I guess this is my new project.

Why, you might ask, would someone with an obvious total lack of artistic skills, want to make a webcomic?

Well, a few years ago, I used to read a comic on Diaryland that genuinely hilarious despite being drawn horribly in black and white, using MS Paint. I figured I’ve got some humour in me that might get a laugh out of someone, so I’m gonna run with it and see what happens.

Sometimes it’ll be stupid jokes, sometimes random nonsense, sometimes it’ll even be a bit melancholy. I’m starting with melancholy. Whether there’ll be recurring characters and overarching storylines, I’ve no idea. I haven’t exactly got a big pile of stuff ready to post. Actually, the only thing I’ve prepared is the first strip… which I’ll be posting at some point in the next 24 hours.

(All of the above assumes that I haven’t fucked up the implementation of the site. Damned if I know why I couldn’t just put it up on Comic Genesis or something.)
